The ShabbaTones chorus is very happy to share with you the news of our new Music Director. While our rehearsals may change, we remain committed to Preserving and Presenting Jewish Musical Culture to you. You can expect that we will remain dedicated to a wide spectrum of great Jewish choral works. Please welcome Cantor Robuck to this New Beginning.

Cantor Robuck was the cantor at Congregation Ohev Shalom in Orlando from 1991 until 2022. He attended the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where he received a degree in Music Education with a minor in jazz piano performance. After teaching public school music in Ohio, Cantor Robuck relocated to Orlando and worked as a performer at Walt Disney World for 12 years. He became a member of the Cantors Assembly, the world’s largest organization of professional cantors, in 2001. In addition to leading services at Congregation Ohev Shalom, his duties included leading the adult choir, teaching in the Religious School, and preparing students for B’nai Mitzvah. Cantor Robuck participated in the bar and bat mitzvot of some 800 young people in addition to numerous weddings and life cycle events. Cantor Robuck has children and grandchildren who live in Gainesville.
